Seventh graders got a real-world reality check! 💰💲
Under the guidance of PRI school coordinator Shelly Pulliam, FRYSC director Sarah Olinger, and math teacher Ron Pennington, students completed a financial literacy unit packed with practical money management lessons. The experience wrapped up with a hands-on "Reality Store," where students were assigned a career and family, then tasked with paying monthly bills alongside the help of community volunteers.
The biggest takeaway? Adulting is expensive! Students left with a new appreciation for budgeting and financial responsibility! 😊
Bulldogs Strike Early and Often: HMS Soccer Defeats Wolfe Co. on 8th Grade Night!!!
The Hazard Middle School Soccer team gave a strong showing, defeating Wolfe County with a decisive 8-0 victory. The night was a perfect tribute to the 8th-grade class, combining an emotional pre-game ceremony with a relentless performance on the field!
Lady Bulldogs Defeat Leslie County on 8th Grade Night!!!
The Hazard Middle School Lady Bulldogs turned an emotional evening into an offensive clinic, defeating Leslie County 10-2 to celebrate their 8th-grade leaders. On a night dedicated to the Class of 2026, the Bulldogs proved they are playing their best softball at exactly the right time.
