The secret is out of the bag! 🎨🐾. Members of the Hazard Middle School Student Council proudly hosted the official unveiling of the newest addition to our school family! With special guests and dignitaries in attendance , the anticipation was building as we finally revealed our beautiful new outdoor mural! This special project celebrates the creativity, talents, and Bulldogs pride of our students. We can't wait to see how this space grows into an outdoor classroom and a place for students to learn, connect, and enjoy time together. A big thank-you to everyone who helped bring this vision to life-especially artist Jenn Amburgey and the many students who helped to paint it! We are thankful to Mr. Hurt and PRI for making this possible. HMS pride is growing, one brushstroke at a time! 💙💛

Student Leaders In Action!🐾. Hazard Middle School's Student Council is busy working on its first project of the year! Today, our student leaders presented their proposal to the Hazard Independent School Board, encouraging the board to fund repairs to the school's swing set. Our students made several important points about the physical and mental benefits of swinging, and the importance of providing students with safe opportunities for recreation. We are proud of our students for finding their voices, advocating for their peers, and learning firsthand how to turn an idea into action. These young leaders are already making a difference at HMS! 💙💛
