HMS was honored to welcome Joey Jones, owner of Ready, Set, Play today. Joey spoke with our 6th graders about how greatness can come from small places. He highlighted local African American historical figures who made a positive impact on Perry County and reminded students that you don't have to do something famous to be known for being a good person. We appreciate Joey for investing in and encouraging our students!

Chris Campbell from the Boys & Girls Club of America had an engaging and interactive visit with our 7th graders today. He led students in a game-playing, informative discussion about the importance of strong character and standing up for what's right. Using examples of notable African Americans throughout history, Chris highlighted the power of discovering your passion and using it to make a positive impact on the world.
