8th Grade Schedule Change beginning March 16th!

We are SO proud to recognize our amazing STUDENTS of the WEEK! These students have gone above and beyond by showing kindness, responsibility, hard work and BULLDOG pride every single day. Keep up the great work -- you are shining examples of what it means to lead by example! We are proud of you!

Congratulations to Mr. Boggess' 8th grade class for winning the attendance challenge for the week of March 2nd with a 98% average daily attendance. We are SO proud of you proving that ATTENDANCE MATTERS at HMS!

Chris Campbell from the Boys and Girls Club spoke with our 8th graders about the powerful idea: "I am a World Changer." He highlighted notable Americans who made contributions that changed history and reminded students that their voices and actions matter. Chris encouraged them to stand up for what they believe in and showed how following their passions can help them change the world. 🌎 We are thankful to have community members who care for and inspire our students! 💙💛💙

The Boys 14th Region Basketball Finals are here and Hazard is in the championship! 🔥
Tomorrow we’re celebrating Blue & Gold Day at Hazard Middle!

These students have been caught showing responsibility, respect, and positive leadership throughout our school. Their actions make a difference and help create the kind of environment where everyone can learn and succeed. Thank you for choosing kindness, making smart decisions, and setting the standard for others to follow. We are proud of the example you're setting!

Our 8th grade science students recently took part in an exciting hands on lab experience -- frog dissection! This activity gave students the opportunity to deepen their understanding of body systems and how living organisms function. Students identified major organs and discussed how each system works together to support life. Labs like this help bring classroom lessons to life and allow students to apply what they've learned in a meaningful way. We are so proud of our students for their focus throughout this important learning experience!

Great News!!!! Normal traffic pattern tomorrow at HMS!!!!! Thank you to everyone who made drop off and dismissal as smooth as possible today!!!
🍦 Our fifth graders enjoyed a sweet treat and great camaraderie during their visit to Dairy Queen. A heartfelt thank you to our generous community sponsor for providing the funding that made this special opportunity possible. We are so grateful for your support of our students! 💙💛💙
